Not too much time to post today but wanted to give you some shots of the goodies I bought while out and about in Florida. I really and truly wanted to find some fabrics that I haven't been able to get a hold of online or offline for that matter. I was looking for the Dream Bike from Heather Ross along with her Gnomes, fish & VW Vans. Couldn't find them to save my life. Then I wanted to find some long lost Michael Miller fabrics with Kittens pushing a stroller....... barely found any Michael Miller. Anyhoo....... here is what I did find:
I seemed drawn to doggies for some reason...... the top fabric in red has the cutest dogs scattered about, the green one is a 1930's reproduction and the last in Scottie Dogs on cream. Too cute!
The Ballerina's underneath came in several colors..... Lavender, yellow and pink. I liked the pink the best naturally! I found the top fabric at JoAnns on the way home. I thought it looked retro Atomic and loved the pink, khaki and browns.
I must say, that this has to be one of my very favorites from the trip. It's new I think and I can't remember for the life of me who designed or manufactured it but WOW is it pretty. I reminds me of some vintage curtains or something. I've already made a Halter Dress for Etsy for it!
Some more from FreeSpirt fabrics. Sooooo durn cute!
The top two pictures are from Moda's Summer in the City by Urban Chiks. I have to say that this fabric line is bright and vibrant without being killer on the eyes. It soooo reminds me of the suitcases we had as little girls in the seventies!
Lots-o-dots! I couldn't pass up some polka-dots!
Sweet Dick and Jane...... I was happy to find this one too!
I was walking past some shelves when these birds caught my eye! Do you see the Mama bird with her babies in the nest near the center of the picture? Also, the flowers aren't showing their true color...... it's that awesome blue...... kinda almost like a Robins Egg Blue! Soooo pretty with the gold and brown!
Some pretty flowers too!
Alexander Henry's Royal Ballet! The colors are really pretty on this print. There is little hints of green that pop on this ....... it's not overused that's for sure!
Oh, and more Prints Charming from Free Spirit!
That's it. Those were the delicious fabrics I bought while on the trip. Picking out fabric was pretty easy considering I was buying it all to make halter dresses/tops for my Etsy shop. There was no need to match this up with that or that up with this as you would when making a quilt. I've made quite a few new tops already....... I couldn't wait to get cutting out.
This is what I've been up to since Amelia Claire started feeling better. And, on the subject of her being so sick..... we are believing that she may have had a Kidney Stone. I went to the ER twice and the doctor's office twice also. She ended up with a suppository, X-Ray, blood test, throat swab and then catheterized to get a urine sample. I NEVER EVER WANT TO SEE HER IN THAT PAIN AGAIN! Plain and simple, it was just too much for her to go through. She had so much pain that she would scream and hold her lower abdomen, go pale, sweat, throw up and cry. With no fever, no infection in her urine, and so on and so on. She is better and that's what counts!
I'll be back with more soon!
